Idol Manager: Release date! Theme songs! Voice acting! And a new trailer!
Hello everyone! It's been awhile since our last update, but we've been hard at work behind the scenes and we're excited to announce that we can finally reveal big news for Idol Manager's full release!
Before we get into the details, we have a small ask to make of our backers: we've created a questionnaire to collect feedback from our Kickstarter backers, and we'd be thrilled if you took the time to fill it out and tell us about your experience during Idol Manager's beta period. (The beta will continue to be available up until the game's release, so feel free to continue playing!) If you've played the beta, please consider taking the time to fill out the survey and let us know what you think!
With that out of the way, we have some big news to announce:
Idol Manager will be officially releasing on July 27!
We finally have a release date! Playism will be publishing the game on Steam on July 27. Steam codes for the full game being released to Kickstarter backers (and those who joined the beta after the Kickstarter) when the game is released. (The beta will continue to be available up to the game's official release on July 27.)
Idol Manager will feature theme songs and voice acting from idol group Kamen Joshi!
We're pleased to be collaborating with idol group Kamen Joshi (仮面女子, Mask Girls), a very thematic inclusion for Idol Manager! Both of the game's theme songs will be sung by the group.
Theme songs by Kamen Joshi:
- Dreaming Days, lyrics by Hami, composed by Masaki Nagata, arranged by Hisao Sasaki
- Masquerade Nights, lyrics by Hami, composed by Masaki Nagata, arranged by GAKU
Additionally, the game will feature the voices of 3 members of the group!

That's the biggest news we have to announce for the moment! We'll have more to announce about Idol Manager in the coming weeks.
If you pledged to receive the game's physical edition, please stay tuned for future details as we begin transitioning from our busy development phase and turn our focus to fulfillment and production. (If you've changed addresses since pledging the campaign, now would be a great time to update your shipping address, which you can do by requesting a survey link be emailed to you via this page. Please feel free to contact us with any questions if you run into issues when trying to update your address and we'll be happy to assist. We'll also be sure to send all backers a reminder at a later date at least 2 weeks in advance of shipping addresses being locked.)

I'm so excited for the full release! I know it's been confirmed everyone who bought this on itch.io will get a steam key, but how? Will we have to specifically message someone and ask for one?

I'd like to read through the changes that where made since the current/last beta.
Kinda amazed since I've seen Kamen Joshi at Akiba several times.
I have been reading these blog post for around 2-3 years since I first saw the old trailer, despite not touching the beta (blind experience wanted) and I have been very hyped for this since then!
Bit off topic, but it would be just perfect if a Hololive Vtuber were to stream the game once out. Not only would it be very appropriate but it would be perfect publicity for the game!

Yeah, itch version will get the update too. The only difference is that the steam version will have achievements and steam workshop support for mods.
